https://www.phillyasianartists.com/ Philadelphia Asian Performing Artists is a member based organization that seeks to build community through Pan- Asian performing arts that otherwise lack economic and artistic support. They do this through programming events, creating performance opportunities, and grassroots organizing.
According to their website, what they do is centered around the framework “For Us, By Us, Beyond Us.” PAPA values being unapologetically Asian, coming as you are, holistic artistic care, following the lead of members, community building, building their own systems, and collective liberation. They have a vision of Philadelphia where every artist is valued and can thrive.
One way they support artists is through their equipment bank, where artists can rent necessary gear ranging from cables to microphones in order to pursue their art.
To stay up to date on their events, make sure to follow PAPA on Instagram and Facebook!
