Longstreth to be named President of the Consular Corps of Greater Philadelphia

Peter Chawaga, for GPA -- Peter S. Longstreth, Uruguay’s first Honorary Consul for the city of Philadelphia and the state of Pennsylvania, will be named President of the Consular Corps of Greater Philadelphia..
Longstreth is one of the city’s preeminent real estate consultants, whose forty year career includes diverse experiences in the real estate, financial, public and private sectors.
From 2001 to 2011, Longstreth was president and CEO of the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation, a partnership between the city and the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce to provide low-cost financing and real estate services to residents. While in that position, he was engaged with Philadelphia’s business, non-profit and political communities.
A graduate of Princeton University, Longstreth started his career with the Philadelphia National Bank before founding Aegis Property Group, a real estate services company headquartered at 1600 Market St.
