2019 Dr. Castillo Scholarship

Are you beginning your college studies this fall and need help with school costs? Submit an application to the Dr. Castillo Scholarship.
The winner of this scholarship will receive $1,000.00 USD to be presented on September 15, 2019, during the annual Mexican Independence Day Festival at Penn's Landing in Philadelphia.
REQUIREMENTS:

Must be Mexican or of Mexican decent
-
Live in Pennsylvania, Delaware, or New Jersey

A copy of your acceptance letter or your student ID from the school where you are currently enrolled (first year students only).

Create a cover letter detailing your name, address, e-mail address, current phone number, the name of your college/university, and your intended major.

Write an essay (1-2 pages, in English) including your goals, ambitions and answering the following two questions:

What aspects of the Mexican culture do you wish were better known by the local community?

What actions would you propose to promote Mexican culture?

Time is running out! Apply to the #DrJoséCastilloScholarship! The deadline to submit all materials is August 29, 2019.
