Description: Built between 1786 and 1787, this 3 1⁄2-story brick house is one of the finest surviving examples of a Georgian town house in the nation. It was built by brothers John and William Reynolds and was one of the first houses of its caliber to be erected in its neighborhood. In the economic slump following the Revolution, the house was sold to Luke Wistar Morris, and it remained in that family for seven generations.
