Join the Alliance Française and the Barnes Foundation for this Bastille Day celebration featuring a buffet dinner by Brûlée Catering and Chef Jean-Marie Lacroix. Along with great food, Derek Gillman, President of the Barnes Foundation will receive the Alliance Française's 2nd Ambassador of the Arts Award.

Enjoy a traditional Japanese tea ceremony led by the Urasenke tea master at the Shofuso Japanse House and Garden. Experience the beautiful, authentic setting, while sitting on tatami mats or chairs. Learn about the history and traditions of the chanoyu (tea ceremony), drink a bowl of matcha (green tea) and taste some seasonal sweets. Shoes must be removed before stepping into the house, so please be prepared to bring socks and kneel or sit on the floor for the length of the ceremony. Space is limited and advanced reservations are required. $30 for Non-members/$25 for Members.

Attention all soccer fans! The American Swedish Heritage Museum and the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce invite you to head down to Fado Irish Pub Philadelphia to take part in the UEFA EURO 2012 live soccer action. Watch Sweden’s opening game against Ukraine at Fado Pub located at the corner of 15th and Locust. Throughout the tournament (June 8-July 1) there will be a special Match Day Menu with discounts on select beers and food.
