On a cold Saturday afternoon at Talen Energy Stadium, the home of Major League Soccer team, Philadelphia Union, a rapturous crowd, including Mayor Jim Kenney, gathered to see the final match of the Third Annual Philadelphia International Unity Cup.

On July 25th, I had the privilege of being part of a once-in-a lifetime experience. I got the chance to watch my favorite soccer club, FC Bayern München, play at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. In front of a crowd of over 30,000 fans, the 28-time German Bundesliga champions played another distinguished soccer club, Juventus FC, who are 34-time champions of the Italian Serie A competition. The teams were playing as part of an international exhibition tournament called the International Champions Cup.

UKRAINIAN FOLK FESTIVAL – 24th Annual
Celebrate the enduring, vibrant culture of a people that fights for world freedom!

This fall, Global Philadelphia Association is showing Philadelphians the world within their own city. Kicking off on September 15 and running through November 1, GlobalPhilly™ 2013 will be the city’s first showcase of international programs and activities in Philadelphia, including arts, advocacy, commerce, and food, among others.

When you think of the City of Brotherly Love, the first things that come to mind are typically the Liberty Bell and cheesesteaks. Not often does the topic of cycling come up, but the growing culture is changing the game.

The 113th United States Open Championship will be hosted by the Merion Golf Club on the East Course in Ardmore, Pennsylvania from June 13-16 2013.
