University of Pennsylvania's South Asia Center to screen groundbreaking documentary, host panel discussions throughout the U.S.

June 10, 2018, marked the 30th anniversary of the Philadelphia Pride Parade and thousands from across the tri-state area came out to celebrate.

On December 10, the United Nations Association of Greater Philadelphia and GPA sponsored a special panel at the Ethical Society of Philadelphia (1906 Rittenhouse Square) entitled "Human Rights and Press Freedom: Global and Domestic Challenges."

On December 10, the United Nations Association of Greater Philadelphia and the Global Philadelphia Association will present a panel discussion on Human Rights and Press Freedom: Global and Domestic Challenges. The event will take place from 6 pm to 8:30 pm at The Ethical Society of Philadelphia (1906 Rittenhouse Sq.).

Enid Adler is a lawyer, a journalist and an artist, but above all she is a philanthropist dedicated to securing justice for those persecuted at home and abroad. For her human rights activisim as a lawyer and a founder of the International Criminal Court, Adler will be recongized with the Marian Anderson Historical Society's Legacy Humanitarian Award on May 31.

The Envision Peace Museum co-sponsored the 2012 Awards Ceremony honoring Dr. Helen Caldicott as the recipient of the 4th Annual Haas Award for International Peace and Social Justice. The Envision Peace Museum fosters insight into the meanings and roots of peace while empowering visitors to overcome violence and injustice in their lives and in the world. In this brief article, The Museum's Executive Director, Michael Gagne, reflects on the the Museum's participation in this important event, presented annually by the Project for Nuclear Awareness. 

On Thursday April 28, 2011, International Visitors Council will hosts its 57th Annual Meeting in the Mayor's Reception Room in City Hall. Join IVC for a general meeting, followed by a reception and conversations with distinguished international visitors. These conversations will be keynoted by a talk given by the night's guest speaker, Sana Abed-Kotob, US Department of State, Office of International Visitors. The event is open to members and non-members of IVC. RSVP by Friday April 22, 12 PM.
