The keynote presentation titled, “Dynamics of Shifting Logistics Patterns” will be given by Jeff Sweeney, Vice President of Martin Associates. Martin Associates is an economic consulting firm with over 20 years experience assessing economic impacts to the world’s transportation systems, including economic, planning and marketing studies for seaports in the United States, Asia, Europe and South America.
Mr. Sweeney is a specialist in economic impact analysis of seaports and airports, and has conducted studies for the Ports of Philadelphia, Wilmington, Baltimore and more. Hear insights on the future of global transport as it adjusts to the global economic crisis, larger vessels, and increased environmental and security concerns.
Dennis Rochford, President, The Maritime Exchange for the Delaware River and Bay, will provide an update on key legislative, regulatory, funding and other issues impacting the port community. The Maritime Exchange for the Delaware River and Bay, a not-for-profit trade association, is dedicated to promoting and encouraging commerce on the Delaware River and Bay.
