Please join us on Monday, April 24th as we mark The Welcoming Center’s 20th anniversary of promoting inclusive economic growth through immigrant integration.
Solas means “light” in Irish. Each year at the Solas Awards, The Welcoming Center shines a light on the contributions immigrants have been making in our city and region. Last year, we came together for the first time in person since 2020 at Cherry Street Pier. This year we are thrilled to host Solas 2023 at World Cafe Live. This will be a 20th Anniversary celebration of The Welcoming Center with live entertainment, networking, recognition of honorees who have been integral to the growth of our work, and an overall celebration of our community.
In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the founding of The Welcoming Center, we are honoring three individuals who, without their vision, dedication, and support, The Welcoming Center would not exist: Anne O’Callaghan, Anuj Gupta, and Patrick Eiding. Please join us on Monday, April 24th in celebrating and honoring these remarkable visionaries!
Dress code: This a celebration of our diverse community. Please dress in celebratory business attire.
ABOUT THE WELCOMING CENTER:
The Welcoming Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Philadelphia that promotes inclusive economic growth through immigrant integration. The organization develops programs that address barriers to immigrant integration and economic advancement in the region. The Welcoming Center collaborates with its participants, a broad spectrum of organizations, and public and private sector institutions to advance learning, shape policy, and grow the economy.
