African Studies Center at the University of Pennsylvania (ASC) presents a roundtable that will address the recent events in the country of Mali in West Africa which is marred by Islamic militants and now swarmed with foreign intervention from France and neighboring African States.

The event will include the following speakers:

  • Dr. Gregory Mann, Columbia University
  • Dr. Susanna Wing, Haverford College
  • Dr. Bruce Whitehouse, Lehigh University
  • Mr. Mohamed Keita, Committee to Protect Journalists, and chaired by Dr. Cheikh Babou, University of Pennsylvania
