PHS Harvest

Date:
Thursday, April 29, 2021 - 8:00am
Website:
https://phsonline.org/ PHS Harvest is back for another year of growing and sharing food crops from your very own gardening space to local food banks to help combat food insecurity in the greater Philadelphia Area.
Through Harvest 2020, we donated over 44,000 pounds of fresh produce to local food banks with the help of over 10,000 participants, and delivered 250,000 vegetable seedlings to 150 community gardening sites across the city of Philadelphia, along with other gardening supplies. This effort equated to hundreds of families able to have access to fresh, healthy food during the pandemic.
Food access is still a growing need in our region. Join us this year as we continue our efforts to share knowledge about how to grow produce, and provide the resources needed for our communities to become more self-reliant. Gardeners at all experience levels are invited to grow and share their harvest with those most in need through this initiative.
