This September, the Interfaith Center is partnering with area tennis coach and former professional tennis player, Fazal Syed, to host an historic first interfaith sports event. Love ALL: Get on Court, Build Bridges, Connect Hearts will include youth and adult tennis clinics and a pro tennis exhibition featuring area tennis pros, all to benefit youth programming at the Interfaith Center!

Fazal's interest in interfaith understanding was spurred by an experience he had a few years ago when he sat next to a woman on a flight to Florida and engaged in conversation. In the course of their exchange, he revealed that he was Muslim and she responded with the question, ‘Are you guys trying to kill our kids?’ Although taken aback, Fazal decided to remain engaged. He shared more about himself and his own faith, alleviated her concerns, and even invited her to visit him in Philadelphia. After stepping off that plane, he committed himself to building bridges within his own community. Shortly after connecting his mosque with a nearby church in the Philadelphia suburbs, he attended an event hosted by the Interfaith Center, with a keynote address by Eboo Patel, Founder and President of Interfaith Youth Core. Immediately following the event, Fazal approached the Interfaith Center to partner on this project.

Love ALL is a fundraiser, community event, and a message to the greater world that Tennis, just like humanity, begins with Love ALL.

We are thrilled to be partnering with Fazal, Level 7 Tennis Academy, and Radnor Hunt.  We hope that you will join us for a great day of tennis, food, and fun!

Spectators: $35 per ticket - Youth (Ages 8-16): $50 per ticket - Adults (17+): $75 per ticket
