David M. Breiner is the Associate Dean of Architecture & the Built Environment at Thomas Jefferson University.
Professor Breiner teaches courses in historic preservation and conducts theory seminars in American and Vernacular Architecture. He is currently president of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Society of Architectural Historians. Professor Breiner says of his forthcoming lecture, that for several years his architecture and historic preservation students have been researching local buildings as a way of honing their research, analysis, and presentation skills. Though not a comprehensive view of all the wonders of this part of the city, this illustrated talk highlights some of the students’ intriguing finds.
