https://www.germansociety.org Frankfurt: the financial centre, the European city, the traffic hub, the smallest metropolis in the world. When you think of the city on the Main, you think of the airport, the Paulskirche and Goethe, the Stock Exchange, the Book Fair and the unforgettable skyline. No doubt about it - Frankfurt brings opposites together in the most fruitful way.
On Saturday, May 18th from 3:00-6:00pm as The German Society celebrates Philadelphia’s newest Sister City! The $10.00 admission price covers tastings of regional foods and beverages, including the famous Frankfurter Grüne Soße! Local music will fill the air, and guests can sample wine from the region’s vineyards. Additional meals and beverages will also be available for purchase.
The festivities will be held on the lovely Leidy Terrace adjacent to the German Society’s building at 611 Spring Garden Street. In the event of inclement weather, the event will move to the Albert and Hete Barthelmes Auditorium.
Want more? RSVP for an exclusive beer tasting seminar at 2:00pm the same day. Award-winning beer expert and sommelier Marnie Old presents "500 Years of Lager Brewing: The German Tradition and the American Dream"
