Al-Bustan Seeds of Culture presents a live visual and musical dialogue between contemporary Arab American artists. In this immersive arts event, composer Kinan Abou-afach and digital artist Ayman Alalao take the audience on a journey where sound generates visual patterns and illustrations live on stage. This event will {de} construct your perception of traditional art and the contemporary Arab American experience.
Featuring Al-Bustan Takht Ensemble musicians Kinan Abou-afach on cello, Hanna Khoury on violin, and Hafez Kotain on percussion, this collaborative arts experience touches on themes of Arab heritage, history, and politics. Live projections will be generated by audio recognition technology that interprets each instrument separately, creating a lively visual and musical narrative.
Tickets: $25 in advance/$30 at door/$15 students with ID
