Toshiro Mifune Retrospective "Drunken Angel"

Grappling with the memories of his wartime past, an alcoholic doctor (Shimura) and a low-ranking yakuza (Mifune) develop an unlikely friendship. Through this character study of two men on the margins of society, director Akira Kurosawa expertly navigates topics related to honor, duty, and the complex moral relativity in postwar Japan.

Mediterranean Fever Film Screening

Join us for the Philadelphia premiere of Mediterranean Fever a Palestinian dark comedy written and directed by Maha Haj on February 5. Doors open at 5:30PM, and the screening starts at 6PM.
