Free Family Fun! Brazilian Day Philadelphia 2015 is the much awaited annual celebration of Brazil’s rich culture. Though only in its second year in Philadelphia, our festival boasts an empowering mission to bring the best of Brazil to Philadelphia, build community, and celebrate diversity.
Performers will light up the stage with the contagious rhythms and dances of Brazil and vendors will offer an abundant variety of authentic traditional foods and merchandise. We hope you will join us to celebrate the music, dance, food, and pride of the Brazilian community. Mark your calendar!
Organized by Project Capoeira, Inc., sponsors for Brazilian Day include PECO, the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation, and Alo Voce.
Project Capoeira, Inc. is the proud organizer of Brazilian Day Philadelphia. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization, our mission is to foster intercultural understanding and a sense of community through arts education and social outreach. We devote ourselves to develop and share the art of Capoeira, an Afro-Brazilian art form that combines elements of martial arts, games, music, and dance. We are also a pioneering force in the preservation and development of Brazilian culture in the region.
