Explore your creativity as a family in this week’s adult/child workshop. Education Coordinator Nicole explains the history and art that go into this traditional Japanese book binding technique.

Kids and adults work together designing covers with motifs, including calligraphy and collage, then bind the books with either a simple 4 stitch or more complex pattern. This program is $25 for a child/adult pairing ($20 for members) and $10 for each additional guest.

Winter programming is conducted indoors at our Sakura Pavilion, about 75 yards from the Japanese House and Garden.
