By attending the festival you will be helping Portside carry out the goals of providing high-quality, low-cost arts and music instruction to residents with limited access to arts and music programming. They currently offer more than 20 different performing arts, visual arts and music classes to over 1,200 students each year, approx. 25% of which are on scholarship. Portside has a waiting list of families who would like to attend their programs but cannot afford the costs until they receive or raise more funds for scholarships. -
Last year’s Festival gathered over 5,000 community members. - They anticipate that over 7,000 community members will attend this year’s festival. - Last year LAAF raised over $6,700 towards our Scholarship Fund. - They are proud to have awarded over $8,900 in 2012 to students through their scholarship fund.
