2nd Argentine Week in Philadelphia (AWP) 2013 _ City Hall

The “Argentines in Philadelphia” group was created in 2009 by a group of highly motivated Argentines with the objective to share culture and traditions among the different ethnic groups living in the Greater Philadelphia area as well as reach the rest of the dispersed Argentine in the region to connect them to services and businesses.
The “Argentine Week” was created in 2012 by the “Argentines in Philadelphia” with the support of The Embassy of Argentina and the City of Philadelphia with the purpose to bring Argentines in the Greater Philadelphia and Tri-State area together to socialize, promote the Argentine culture and traditions.
An Argentine Film Festival which will exhibit internationally acclaimed Argentine films and documentaries from December 2nd to the 5th.
An Argentine art exhibition at a place TBD presenting the works of local artists.
An open Argentine wine tasting and a tango show at a the City Hall of Philadelphia

4:00 pm The delegation meet at the door of the City Hall, for the raising of the Argentine Flag. Speech by a Guest of Honor, Argentine Anthem, Rise of the Argentine Flag. Place: North Broad St. and J.F. Kennedy St.
Indoor by invitation only due to limited space
4:10 pm Entrance to the City Hall - Reception Room begins for those with invitations
4:35 pm Walter Perez, Anchor-Chanel 6, Master of Ceremonies, starts the event, indicating that during this afternoon and evening
4:40 pm Remarks by the Mayor of Philadelphia, Mr. Michael A. Nutter
4:45 pm Remarks by Walter Perez on reference to General San Martin
4:50 pm Floral Wreath in front of General San Martín Bust
5:00 pm The Master of Ceremonies shall announce the Tango Show
5:10 pm Shows begins
