Join the members and friends of Philadelphia's international community for a business networking reception to celebrate the City’s status as a top US destination for frogein direct investment and trade!

Hosted by the Japan-America Society of Greater Philadelphia (JASGP), this will be the tenth year this event is held and is a great way to meet hundreds of business executives and city, state, and foreign government officials to celebrate the region’s global economic, political, and commercial impact.

Tickets for JASGP members are $75 and $95 for non-member tickets. In accordance with the Morgan Lewis policy, proof of vaccination is required to attend the event.

This bi-monthly networking session will be held virtually at 10 am EST / 3 pm GMT. The purpose of our series is to provide a platform for learning and connections – for new members, members based outside the Philadelphia region, and members and guests based locally. All are welcome!

WEEKNIGHTS AT THE WAGNER: Building for Books - Philadelphia’s Libraries

Architectural Historian Michael J. Lewis will trace the roots and development of Philadelphia’s private and public libraries.

The Quakers who founded Philadelphia believed in universal literacy and were great creators of libraries. The first was the Library Company, which Benjamin Franklin helped establish in 1731 and which was America’s first subscription library. But Quakers also believed that knowledge should be useful, and gave their libraries a pragmatic character unlike those of any other American city.
