In September 2003, Warren Oree and Graziella DiNuzzo of LifeLine Music Coalition used their own funds to create the first Philadelphia Jazz and Poetry Festival – a three- day event on the weekend of September 11th, which included over 14 venues (mostly FREE). With the desire to continue to promote and showcase Philly Jazz musicians and artists, Graziella and Warren gathered the support of the Philly business community for funding and support.
